AIP Engine. Structured due diligence on project data.

AIP Engine is Altheon's software for due diligence (DD) on project data: it reads data rooms (PDFs, spreadsheets, scans) and produces a machine-readable structured dossier, the Dossier Digitale Strutturato (DDS).

Built for our acquisition-side DD work, it is designed for investors, lenders and asset managers. It is now available in early access to investors and asset managers.

The problem

Data rooms arrive with no shape.

In our experience, every acquisition starts from the same point: dozens of PDFs, spreadsheets and scans, organised on the seller's terms. Nothing can be analysed directly.

Structuring is redone every time. DD memos close as narrative PDFs and the underlying data does not survive past closing. On the next deal, the same work starts again from scratch.

Infrastructure capital does not have a data problem. It has a shape problem.

How it works

A structured dossier, not another PDF.

AIP Engine produces a DDS: output organised against a defined schema of the objects that matter in a solar photovoltaic (PV) project, namely permits, contracts, production data and counterparties.

    PDFs, Excel sheets, images and scans. Optical character recognition (OCR) on non-digital documents. One pass on the whole data room.

  • Classifies and extracts

    AI classification of the documents into the schema and field-by-field extraction, with a confidence index and a link to the page of origin.

  • Reconciles and reviews

    Cross-document reconciliation and an analyst interface: confirm, correct or set the value by hand before sign-off.

  • Generates the risk map

    A first risk register generated from the structured data, by severity and technology. It is a first reading, to be reviewed.

  • Exports as a standard

    DDS as a branded PDF, JSON or shareable link, designed to be read by credit models and portfolio systems.

  • For the analyst

    Designed around the work of the analyst doing the DD: AI accelerates, people decide.

What stays with the analyst

AIP Engine structures the data and links it to its source; it does not replace legal, technical and credit checks. Every extracted field remains to be confirmed before sign-off, and the risk map is a first reading to be reviewed.
